Safe at Home Gentle Chair Yoga - Session 1 In this gentle chair yoga class, we use the mat and the chair when performing our asanas (poses), using our breath to unite our mind and bodies. We do not sit or lie on the mat, so it is easy to incorporate this kind of yoga into your daily activities. This class is structured as most yoga classes are: a brief centering meditation, followed by warm ups and then asanas, or yoga poses, arranged for the use of the chair. We practice fall prevention by increasing strength, flexibility and balance. We close the class with a short, guided meditation that helps integrate all we do in class. Instructor: Fran Harmeyer, OTR/L and 200 hr Certified Yoga Instructor
