Looking for a fun, high-energy activity that teaches your kids structure, focus, and real-life skills? Balance Martial Arts and Fitness is officially launching our **Kids & Family ITF Taekwondo** classes! We don't just teach crisp kicks and powerful self-defense—we build champions in life. Our structured classes are specifically designed to help your child develop: Unstoppable Fitness: Boost strength, flexibility, and coordination.Razor-Sharp Focus: Improve listening skills and concentration (perfect for school!).Practical Self-Defense: Build confidence to handle tough situations safely.Rock-Solid Confidence: Watch your child stand taller and handle challenges with a positive mindset. Give your child the perfect balance of fitness and discipline.  Parents are welcome to sign up as well!! Most youth activities relegate parents to the bleachers. At Balance Martial Arts and Fitness, we break that barrier. Our unique family-style classes allow parents and children to train side-by-side. You will face challenges together, celebrate milestones together, and build a unique bond rooted in mutual respect, fitness, and fun. No experience required—just a willingness to grow together!
 
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM    Take Great Photos with your Smartphone - Session 1
This class is for those interested in producing high-quality images with their smartphone cameras. That means learning and understanding the camera controls, as well as when and how to use them. Doing so will put the photographer in better control of their camera. And that will mean significantly improved photographs. Instructor: Peter Glass   Everything necessary for taking great smartphone pictures will be addressed, including: Learning how to use the camera controls on your specific smartphone Basic photographic theory Discussing alternative smartphone camera apps Suggestions for hand-holding your camera Specific steps to follow when taking a picture Useful accessories for your smartphone camera How to compose your photographs to produce truly wonderful results? Don’t forget to bring your fully charged smartphone, the smartphone’s charger, and any accessories you have. We need a minimum of 9 students to run this class.

The learning through play preschool recreation program is designed for children ages 3 to 5 and focuses on developing foundational social, literacy, and movement skills in a fun and engaging environment. Through hands on activities, music, stories, and imaginative play, children will build confidence while developing important preschool in kindergarten readiness skills. Children learn best when actively engaged. This program encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction while providing A nurturing and inclusive environment. Please have child bring a water bottle and paint shirt. Instructor: Risha Stukshis

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM    Babysitting Course (Fall) - Session 1
American Heart Association Babysitting course for anyone 10 years old and older.  The class will offer students the necessary tools to become a reliable and safe babysitter. Students will learn basic childcare, safety precautions, child development, appropriate toys and more. Students will receive a handbook with all information needed to serve as a reference. Participants have to meet requirements of the course to receive certification. At the conclusion of the babysitting classes there will be a course on Pediatric CPR and First Aid.

This course combines the American Heart Association First Aid and Heart Saver CPR for Adults Infants and Children with AED.  Participants learn first aid basics for adults and show proficiency in skills. This course teaches what to do in a life-threatening emergency. These emergencies include not breathing, choking and cardiac arrest (heart stopping) which occurs mostly in or near home. Sudden infant death syndrome and prevention of injuries and choking in infants and children will be discussed. With the knowledge and skills in this course participants will learn the warning signs of heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest choking and breathing difficulties; CPR and relief of choking for adults, children and infants. Students receive hands on training with the AED. This course has a skills exam and no written test. Participants will receive an AHA Heart Saver two-year certification card for Adult First Aid, CPR for adults/children, infants and AED use. Text purchase is not necessary if recertifying. This class reaches the requirements for coaching & job certification!!
