LEARN TO SWIM – AGES 4 & UPLearn to swim through the Red Cross Swimming Program. Lessons for all abilities are available. A variety of levels are available as seen below. Read the following for more information. If you are unsure what level to put your child in, please read all descriptions below. A child placed in the wrong level will be moved to the correct level at the discretion of the instructor. RED CROSS SWIMMING LEVELSLevel 1 (Water Exploration)The most basic of swimming skills to help the participants become comfortable in the water.Level 2 (Fundamental Aquatic Skills)Gives students success with fundamental skills. Floating without support, simultaneous and alternating arm & leg motions on front and back. Also includes self-help and basic rescue skills.Level 3 (Stroke Development)Students learn to coordinate front & back crawl strokes. Introduction to butterfly and treading water and basic diving rules are covered. Level 4 (Stroke Improvement)Students will increase their endurance by swimming greater distances. Practice on butterfly continues. Elementary backstroke, breaststroke and elements of sidestroke are introduced along with basic turns at the walls.Level 5 (Stroke Refinement)Students refine front & back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, elementary backstroke and sidestroke and increase their distances. Our camp provides a safe, structured, fun and active environment in which children can develop new skills, self-esteem and friendships. We pride ourselves on offering an action-packed, varied and exciting camp. Campers enjoy a variety of activities from week to week and are designed to be age appropriate. Activities available every session are: Arts & Crafts, Group Games, Outdoor fun, Movies, Swimming and a Pizza party on Fridays. Camp will meet indoors in the event of inclement weather. Campers should bring a snack, lunch, drink and can bring money for the ice cream truck daily! Field Trip Included!

Epic Adventures is the only area summer camp created exclusively for youth teens. This camp captures the essence of independence and self-awareness. Our camp counselors connect with our youth teens to learn their interests and encourage personal identity growth. While at camp, they enjoy swimming every day, arts and crafts, sports, pizza party on Fridays and more. Camp will meet indoors in the event of inclement weather. Campers should bring a snack, lunch, drink and can bring money for the ice cream truck daily! Field trips included.

The Hit Club, Connecticut’s premier baseball training facilities, will be hosting year fifteen of summer camps in Watertown.  The Hit Club summer camp program is unique from others because of the level of instruction each camper receives. The campers will be divided into age specific groups.  Each Session will include hitting and fielding drills. Skill competitions and scrimmages will be part of each day’s itinerary. A favorite of the players and their families is our Home Run Derby on the last day of each session. 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM    Adventure Camp - Session 5
An adventure every day! Campers will participate in swimming, arts and crafts, sports, and games based on a variety of popular themes! It will be a fun experience for all campers, with an emphasis on teamwork and community building!  Don’t forget to bring a bathing suit and towel for various water games, snack and money for the ice cream man. On Fridays the camp will have a pizza party!
 
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Summer Swim Training - Summer Swim Training 12 & Under
This program is for returning WRST swimmers and High School swimmers looking to stay conditioned in the pool over the summer. The focus of the summer conditioning program is to improve each swimmer’s endurance for the upcoming swim season. Swimmers will participate in practices that challenge them while refining stroke technique. Dryland exercises will also be included as part of our weekly programming. Swimmers should come prepared with their caps and goggles every night, as well as their own kickboards if they have them. Swimmers will be told when they should wear sneakers and gym clothing to the pool for dryland exercises.
 
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM    Summer Swim Training - Summer Swim Training 13 & Over

This Zumba class is for all those hardcore individuals. We’ve had many requests to continue despite the cold... can you handle it? The perfect combo of fun and fitness makes for an amazing calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over you'll see why Zumba Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Come join the party weather permitting!

1:00 PM - 5:00 PM    Adventure Camp - Session 5
An adventure every day! Campers will participate in swimming, arts and crafts, sports, and games based on a variety of popular themes! It will be a fun experience for all campers, with an emphasis on teamwork and community building!  Don’t forget to bring a bathing suit and towel for various water games, snack and money for the ice cream man. On Fridays the camp will have a pizza party!

This program is for returning WRST swimmers and High School swimmers looking to stay conditioned in the pool over the summer. The focus of the summer conditioning program is to improve each swimmer’s endurance for the upcoming swim season. Swimmers will participate in practices that challenge them while refining stroke technique. Dryland exercises will also be included as part of our weekly programming. Swimmers should come prepared with their caps and goggles every night, as well as their own kickboards if they have them. Swimmers will be told when they should wear sneakers and gym clothing to the pool for dryland exercises.

Our camp provides a safe, structured, fun and active environment in which children can develop new skills, self-esteem and friendships. Activities available every session are: Arts & Crafts, Group Games, Outdoor fun, Movies, Swimming and a Pizza party on Fridays. Camp will meet indoors in the event of inclement weather. The Hit Club, Connecticut’s premier baseball training facilities, will be hosting year fifteen of summer camps in Watertown.  The Hit Club summer camp program is unique from others because of the level of instruction each camper receives. The campers will be divided into age specific groups.  Each Session will include hitting and fielding drills. Skill competitions and scrimmages will be part of each day’s itinerary. A favorite of the players and their families is our Home Run Derby on the last day of each session. The Hit Club, Connecticut’s premier baseball training facilities, will be hosting year fifteen of summer camps in Watertown.  The Hit Club summer camp program is unique from others because of the level of instruction each camper receives. The campers will be divided into age specific groups.  Each Session will include hitting and fielding drills. Skill competitions and scrimmages will be part of each day’s itinerary. A favorite of the players and their families is our Home Run Derby on the last day of each session. Activities available every session are: Arts & Crafts, Group Games, Outdoor fun, Movies, Swimming and a Pizza party on Fridays. Camp will meet indoors in the event of inclement weather. 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM    Adventure Camp - Session 6
An adventure every day! Campers will participate in swimming, arts and crafts, sports, and games based on a variety of popular themes! It will be a fun experience for all campers, with an emphasis on teamwork and community building!  Don’t forget to bring a bathing suit and towel for various water games, snack and money for the ice cream man. On Fridays the camp will have a pizza party!
 
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM    Women's Self Defense - Summer 2
Come join Sensei Sean Thiel from Balance Martial Arts and Fitness for a women’s only self defense training. This will help you gain confidence and make you feel more secure and empowered knowing how to protect yourself. Please wear proper workout clothes.
