Sewing Class
This class is open to all students who are interested in learning to sew, enhance their skills, create sewing projects and more. Student must provide: sewing machine, scissors, threads and needle. Fabric is included for Session 1. Session 3, fabric for samples to practice on will be supplied. Session 1: Sewing Foundation – Operation and functions of sewing machine; drawstring bag Session 2: Garment Construction – Measurements to sizing and apply to pattern: How to read a pattern: Garment/pattern selection to proper fabric: Layout of pattern to fabric. Session 3: Garment Techniques Workshop – pockets, closures, zippers and seam finishes.
