Children this age need physical activity to build strength, coordination, and confidence — and to lay the groundwork for a healthy lifestyle. During Gym Time with Mr. M, children will participate in a wide variety of fun, movement-based games and sports-related activities. The clock is ticking….are you in?!?!
The instructor, Mr. McQueeney, has been a Physical Education teacher in Watertown for 25 years and has been working with this age group for the past 17 years at JTPS.
- If you are dropping your child off to John Trumbull School, please walk your child to the main office where you will sign them in.
- A representative from the Parks & Recreation Department will walk the children to their classroom.
- If your child is unfamiliar with the school building, Principal Meka will arrange for a responsible helper to get children to and from the bathroom.
- John Trumbull School’s policy does not allow parents to stay without approval from the school and instructor.
- The students who attend John Trumbull School must send in a note each day to their teacher stating that they will be staying after school for a Parks & Recreation program.
- When the program is dismissed the instructor will walk the kids up to the main doors at the front of the school. This is where you will pick them up.
